We have our dog who is so broken. It's so difficult for him but he is worth it. From a rescue he got stronger, never lost his fears and still scared of his shadow but slow gains. Sorry to hear of everyone's losses. Such heartache xx he is about 10/11 now and enjoys his cantankerous days šŸ˜Š

Over 57 years we have had a range of dogs. When i was working and on the road my jack Russell cross. Did wel over a half million miles. When she died we said no more. Then swmbo was pursuaded to take the sons dog. So now we are fostering a 4 year old bundle of fur who's character is winning friends and hearts daily. Given us a lot of amusement during lockdown I can tell you.

We have a Pug who will be 13 in December and a three and a half year old French bulldog, in 7/10 days we will be picking up our new Frenchie, heā€™s 8 weeks old on Monday.

We have 8 caskets on top of a cupboard in the house, 4 dogs and 4 cats, always had dogs most of our 50 years of marriage.
Never wanted a cat but looked after a kitten for friends, somehow we ended up with five cats, all were so different in character.

Since 2018 with MH. Previous with camping and caravan.
We lost our last three English setters, who were together for the previous 10yrs, over the last 2yrs. They were rescued from Greece and all with 'issues' but they were great dogs and loved getting away in the MH. All missed like mad. They arrived after we had decided not to have any more dogs. We have said the same again but somehow have ended up with our sons two more often than not!!

Does not matter how late I am, where I have been she is always glad to see me.

saddest thing I eve saw was when out old St collapsed in our kitchen, the pup laid nose to nose with her whilst the vet put her out of her misery. Like all dog/pet lovers we miss her everyday but thankful she was part of our life.

We've had the pleasure of sharing trips with a friend for a few years and in a few vans now.
Here's the latest pest being quizzed about the suspicious snack she found in the field šŸ˜Š

She never wants to get out of the van when we get home.

11yrs, but many years a tugger.
We would love a new little dog. But even after over three years and being on the list at several rescue places we have not yet even been contacted. :crying: But this will be a hard act to follow ...............

Brenda has suggested we have a break when the current three go to the bridge. I asked her where she intends to live during this break from having dogs, because it wont be with me

There are always so many deserving dogs in rescue desperate for love and attention. I know my previous dogs and current ones would all want me to respect their memory by homing another. They are in no way replacing the lost dog, they are an addition to our family and are told about all the dogs we have shared our lives with. I love them all
When we had to say goodbye to our previous dog, my husband said no more, she was number 5. She was a rescue staffie and had endured appalling conditions and was the most amazing loving dog, really special. We were devastated. I lasted less than a week, without a dog there was a massive hole in my life. Phoned Battersea and arranged to meet Sienna 6 days later, she is sitting by me now, she has been here 5 years. She has issues, anxiety and reactive to other dogs, cost us a fortune in behavourist fees and had to have her cruciate ligament operated on back in November (nearly Ā£5k), worth every penny. She loves the camper van so suits us perfectly, just waiting for school holidays to end (hopefully) in Sept and all 3 of us will be on our travels again (Covid permitting)!

This Framed Picture of all our Rescue Dogs is Charcoal drawn by an Animal Artist, Only Simba the Chow Chow is with us, the Staffie (Bear) passed on my wifes lap on the way to the vets, he was only Two years old and had suffered a Brain Hemorrhage, losing him has hurt us more than losing any of our dogs who have all reached reasonable ages  Love them all :h:
Sparky a little Bichon cross has joined Simba since January this year and they are both well behaved Motorhome Dogs (y) They are Family without any doubt :love:

Had dogs all my life, grew up on a boarding kennels sadly not had a dog for 8 years and I do miss them but travelled the world, however if the dog passports sort themselves out in the next year we may get a pup to enjoy our life with. So yes I am and hubby did love the time with dogs. Itā€™s just losing them that hurts.
