So we are finally on our way to eurotunnel at Folkestone and I turns to Archie the schnauzer and jokingly asks him where his pet passport is?
His blank look says everything, it's at home!!
Leave the M25 and get back home, greeted with looks of amazement by neighbour so what could I do but blame the dog again.

We get on our train 2 hours late and promise each other we will never trust Archie to remember anything important again.
Dogs eh?

Ours are just as dim. At least you weren't too delayed
Not really, we got to the aire at Le Touquet ok, our first ever aire and it costs more than an acsi site!
Nice class of motorhomers here though, full of Hymers, Carthagos etc. Stuck our little Brit van in the corner, no one noticed us and we kept our voices low, didn't want to upset the upper classes:D:D.
Dog still tetchy though, remains convinced he will get better grub in one of the posh vans, I've told what he can do if he doesn't like it.

We went to the Aire at Le Touquet last year and they were charging €13 to park like sardines or in the gutter at the road side.
We didn't stop.
I wrote to the Le Touquet Mairie complaining, as you do, that it was costing far, far too much.
I didn't get a reply – perhaps they don't speak Anglo Saxon!

Theres no way I would be hiding in a corner. Even if I had the oldest heap about. You have what you can afford and are no less any better or worse than anyone else. :)
Only jesting, we didn't hide anywhere.
We made up for the cost of the Le Touquet aire ( won't be doing that again ) by staying on the free aire at Villandry near Tours, lovely village but I'm not totally convinced about staying on aires, it's only our 2nd year with the MH so we are still learning.

I don't blame you for not stopping. Why do motorhomers want to camp like this beats me.:Eeek:
