First trip to Europe in the summer and wondered if this route sounded ok?

Dunkirk - Brugge (2 nights)
Brugge - Liege via R30/E403/E42/N607 (1 night)
Liege - Cochem via N90/E42 (1 night)
Cochem - Zell via B49 (2 nights)
Zell - Bernkastel-kues. Via B49 (1 night)
Berkastel - ingeldorf via B50/N17 (2 nights)
ingeldorf - Metz via B7 /E421/ .... A7 ( 1 night)
Metz - Reims (1 night)
Reims - Ypres ( 2 nights)

Does this seem reasonable or too many stops? I am a planner and the first trip will be planned :)

Thanks for any help

Do you actually get to see anywhere or just keep driving? I usually try and stop at least three nights at places of interest.

Much better than staying in the UK. But be flexible, if you find a place really pleasing, just stop there longer.

Brugge, Cocham and Bernkastel-Kues are delightful places.

We plan our trips around a day and a night at a place. More and we get bored. We dint limit our driving as such but try and be sure there is time to spare in case we like somewhere enough to stick around longer. We also prioritise so that if we take longer over the early stuff we can bin off something else in the itinerary.

I am worried that i have planned to much, but the stops on mosel are only 30mins apart. Would it better to stay say in Zell and use river transport? Also the stos i have chosen are they good ones with easy routes ?

Can you tell i am realyy nervous about the trip ?

Don't worry about the trip, only the worrying about it! Once you get going you'll wonder what all the worrying was about! Just enjoy every moment: even the bad ones will later be good as anecdotes! Passport, credit card and breakdown insurance - you are set to go!
