Hi, About to fit my battery master. Can only run wiring directly to leisure, ground and vehicle batteries terminals as can't get to PSU. Using 22awg wire for the roughly 3 feet run to vehicle battery. Question is do I need any fuses and if so what amp, and is the 7amp 22awg cable at 12v ok? Thx....

yes you need a fuse you always need a fuse to any live wire going to the batteries (or battery connections) and 5amp -7 amp will protect the wire.
fuses are rated to protect the wire from overheating and fire, not the appliance.
but from memory wiring it another way doesnt need a fuse

edit, found it here [Broken Link Removed]

Great, so a 5a fuse to both the leisure and vehicle battery connections with 22awg wire will suffice??

Thx Tombola... hadn't seen that doc. At 12v, 22awg wire can handle 7amp. Only a 3ft run. So I believe I am OK with a 5amp fuse at each battery end as BM not allowing more than 1.1amp...

I put in a 10 amp fuse close to both the leisure and starter batteries just in case any of the wiring happened to short to the chassis.

I guess as using 22awg wire with max of 7amp at 12v, a 5amp fuse would go before the wiring whereas a 10amp exceeds the wire rating and I suspect could be dangerous.... but I am not an electrician so hoping someone on here can advise...

Yeah that's in the safe side....a fuse a few % over wont harm esp if in the open air..but yeah your idea will work in this case.
I have a 5amp in mine
