Hi
Just trying to find a suitable location for my tracker.
The one I have comes with separate GPS and GSM aerials which obviously need to be as high up as I can get them.
The space I am looking at to fit the tracker module itself and the 2 aerials already has some dc and ac cables around.
Do you think these existing cables (and equipment) may interfere with the tracker signals or operation?

Iain

Hard to say, but you should be able to test it easy enough Iain

Hi

99.9% no problem with other equipment.

But "high up" is not enough, make sure the aerials are on the "right" side of any metal that might screen them.

In the frame of a roof light sort of thing.

In an AutoTrail so hopefully not a lot of metal in the roof and walls because getting the wiring across to a roof light would be a bit of a nightmare.
Thanks.

Every time we go through the tunnel Vodafone call and tell me we're moving.

Couldn’t find a way to run the cables from floor to roof level so gave up in the end. It is temporarily installed and working it seems but I would like to get the immobiliser side installed properly.
I’ll look up a decent auto sparkle when we get back to UK.
