Doc on tour, France, Spain, Morroco.

Tam, receiving text in Morocco on a UK sim if free.
Not according to the message I got when I entered Morocco.

I'll see if I can go check them but I'm sure everything is charged . The other issue is if I take the maroc sim out and put UK one it might bugger up my maroc settings the guy in the shop put in .. I'm worried about being left stuck if it does

Tam, can you not alter your multi factor settings?
Usually you can say cannot use that method so use another to verify
The only option I get other than the text is by letter ...which is no good.

I'll have to sort it all when back in Spain

Not sure about that, in EU it might be but using the EE calculator if it's on contract it costs £2.34 a minute for calls but it doesn't mention texts, however if it's a PAYG receiving texts is free.

Could you open a gmail account and forward your emails into it? I’m sure I did that at some point. Thing about gmail is you can access it on any computer.

It's a contract I have Mel

I found the text and it says nowt about it either but I'm not sure how I would do it as I need to have the screen open on the app when I receive the code by text to enter the code.

I'd therfore have to buy an ee roaming pass I think

I'd be aswell just waiting till I get back to Spain.

If you wanted to swap the sims you could take a screen shot of the settings before you swap?

Tether the phone to your other phone with a Morocco sim in. That way you can still use the app without incurring EE data roaming costs.

I'm giving up with this nonsense, will have to wait till I'm back in Spain to sort all my emails and banking etc out , i just hope I don't have any issues with cards etc till I get back or I'll really be up shit creek .

I'll have to go top up some credit on this other phone tomorrow just to make sure it lasts . I don't want to switch sims over incase they don't work on the other phone as I had the guy in the shop set them up for me as all info is in Arabic and French.

Bleedin annoying and a stark reminder to anyone to carry a spare phone but slso have it set up as a clone to your main one ... I had0 started to clone mine but obviously hadn't completed it. It was my mums old phone and I didn't want to delete or wipe stuff off of it.. I've lost it all now unfortunately but I had to register it on my Google account etc to make it work .

I've got WhatsApp, park4night and a few other essential apps for now at least .

But if I get any response to job applications i won't see them till back in Spain now unfortunately.

All 3 of my email accounts need to send a code to my UK sim in order to verify its me 😭 I know its necessary fir security but its a pain when out the country for a while.

I did meet Barchetta47 in sidi Kaouki and collected my master cylinder.

That thing has just caused a whole load of grief and I truly believe I don't need the bleeding thing .

I also think I passed jongood on the drive up ... I spotted a nice clouliner then a UK plate and it was towing a trailer

Exchanged a wave as we passed ...I'm sure it was him but I'm sure he'll confirm either way.

I also saw that big euramobil with the steampunk type paint or wrap on it parked at sidi Kaouki... didn't get a photo though .

I left Mike n brenna at tamri this morning as they're here a bit longer than I'm staying in Morocco so they're now in tafedna where the donkeys were and I'm parked up at the windmill spot again between sidi kaouki and Essaouira, might have a look around there tomorrow and stock up in Carrefour before I continue north ...I'm planning to return to the beach parkup I had at oualidia for a few days ... might have to stop one night on route though .

Right I asked Jim to give the thread a bit of a clean up to remove all the shit. I've deleted and blocked who I needed to.

As far as I'm concerned I want that to be the end of it.

But I'm afraid you'll need to wait till tomorrow for pics of the dogs or anything else as I've no pics on this phone whatsoever.

Planning to have a walk round Essaouira tomorrow. Need to sort more data out too.

For tonight I'm off to bed

Lot of driving today but worth it to get further up country. Couldn't be arsed going in to Essaouira in the end so I just did carrefour for fresh fruit n veg without the hassle , and picked up a few other items. Filled up with water and topped up diesel and headed north . Stopped north of safe to walk dogs and blu managed to get herself lost ....I spent over an hour trying to find her without a trace , and then just as I got back to the van she went charging down the road chasing a horse and cart .. miracle she didn't get run over the daft bugger she is , I'm actually convinced that dog has learning difficulties. Anyway managed to get her In the van and headed off . And I'm back in ouladia at the nice quiet beach I was at before... only 1 other camper here ...an Italian. So all being well I'm here for a few nights. I'm fully stocked so no need to move .

Got some more data for my other phone too. I can still get some life out my old one at times so I can tether my tablet to it at least to make use of the data on that.

Cracking waves out here

Glad you have a good spot again. :hugs: :hugs:

Blu seems to be very intelligent in some ways yet lack any form of common sense. I also think she's at that age where she is pushing boundaries etc. But it was weird today as she just completely disappeared for ages ...normally you can at least see her bounding around like a goofball but not a trace of her.....I actually thought she was lost for good... I was trying to find a way of getting the camper off the road there to spend the night to see if she came back and just as I got In the van she went racing down the road after the horse and cart ....never even noticed me at first then she turned round and just collapsed on the dirt lol.. .knackered herself she did . She's an arse lol
