Well here's a little story
To tell it is a must

It's about a motorhome and it's wayward electrics

Imagine you have gone away to Spain for 3 months
You arrive on your pitch and plug the electric in
and none of the 4 sockets in the bedroom and the one in the garage DON'T work

So you spend many hours over the holiday trying to find WHY!!!!!!!

Been home a week and now the motorhome is empty traced every flippin wire (it's an old Lunar and there's no wiring diagram the handbook says TBA

we've continuity tested every link within the bedroom
finally traced where the feed comes from under the cooker round the back of the shower

Under the cooker is a socket which switches on the electric ring (cooker has 3 gas and 1 electric hob)

Guess how they stupidly wired the system
Yep the switch also turns the bedroom sockets OFF - WHY oh Why did they do that

AND IT TOOK ME 3 MONTHS TO FIND IT
:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Took me 3 years to find out the reading lights over the beds and the one in the lounge have dimmers, manufacturers don't bother to tell you.

Probably they let the gas fitter do it. :LOL:

I had the 12v power to the boiler cut in and out, I tried to trace it but gave up in the end and piggy backed it from the cooker supply. I'm not sure the converters even have a wiring diagram
