Well, me and Big Ears have spent the last 2 nights here..

http://northmortefarm.co.uk/

We got here last night and paid extra to hook up as the leisure batteries have had a hard time keeping the beer cold in the fridge ;)

The pitch was OK but all very close and hemmed in and no view at all.

So I had a walk this morning and was amazed to see acres of empty land with awesome views. So headed to site office to book another night at only £9.50.

Got a superb spot with amazing views and nobody within 100 yards so we could play Planet Rock at a decent level and not piss anybody off

I know leccy can be important but I'd give up a few home luxuries to get away from the crowd and have an amazing view

After a long coast walk this morning and a few pints of refreshment, me & Big Ears spent an afternoon snoozing :)

Waddya reckon ?

Great result, our fridge works better on gas anyway, with sun like we have had this week provided you have a solar panel who needs electricity? (y)

Now that looks like my kinda place, waking up to a view like that in the morning = unbeatable ! Great Post BTW (y)

Crikey 1st pic in 1st post woukd have done me easter weekend instead what we ended up with was neighbours that could reach in & grab a beer without leaving there motor.

Yes you can often get obsessed with ehu and motorhomes parking, look around the site you ma be surprised. Do make sure you can get off (speaks with experience)...... Martin

Love that area.. fabulous walks and great beaches..

we stayed at the site just up the road, Damage Barton..

At first sight I thought it was Shell Island:cool:

Have started a list of possible places to go and this is definitely going on it! Lovely photos.

Thanks Yorick. :)

Oh, and agree with @Janine

No need to say carry on enjoying yourselves, is there?

just down the road from me and you never popped in to say Hi, I'm hurt, sad and crying into my beer.

Did you walk the coast path to Lee bay or go into Mortehoe or Woolacombe pub, either way it's good. Great spot up there on them pitches. (y)

I'm so jealous! Would love to be kicking back with a beer and just staring out to sea with the sun on my face......

Yep same here Gerri . I've just been out to take Ralph a cup of tea, and sit in the garden to watch Him hard at it, converting Pug. Instead of the sun in my face I got sawdust.:Eeek:

Love your second spot Yorik. Very jealous .

Beautiful. Perfect spot. Enjoy.

Yorick,
been to that site a handful of times and enjoyed it every time, off peak. Only tried it once during 'high season' and it was crazy.....
Winter is also good there, with some great storms, wild seas and a surfers paradise when the surfs up.

Give the Woolacombe to Mortehoe hill a bash, great for the calf muscles - but the pub at the top with it's real ale is a just reward.

Enjoy.(y)

Trikeman. ;)

This looks looks great, we're looking for a place for our first week away now that the house move dust has died down. Views, pubs, walks, pubs, what more could I ask for?
Thanks:)
