Driving down the A1 yesterday, we were overtaken by an oldish small motorhome going at quite a fair lick in the outside lane with two children running about in the back. Neither child looked older than 10.
Is it just me? While I realise that such a motorhome probably did not have rear seat belts I would never dream of driving anywhere without ensuring the children are secure and wearing seat belts. I remember years back when we bought our first new car, one thing that attracted me to it was unusual in that rear seat belts were fitted, so our children have always been strapped in from a very young age. The oldest is now nearing 40.
