Another idea I had was to fit DIY covers to our Thetford fridge vents just prior to laying our van up. This was partly due to not having any covers and not being able to buy some and have delivered around the Christmas period.
So I bought a 4mm glazing sheet from B&Q about £11, measured twice then cut once , using a Stanley knife and straight edge. And I slotted them in behind the external vents and it fits lovely.
From one sheet I've made 2 covers for storage and 2 covers winter use. I'm adding some pictures to hopefully explain what I used.
