Dishwasher cleaner

Hi, does anyone put dishwasher cleaner down the plug holes to clean them and the tank or just use the Elsan stuff( others are available )

I do. Not cleaner but tablets - usually two tablets
Crush the tablets and pour down both sinks with a good amount of toilet duck type disinfectant.
Zoflora lemon smells the nicest but it's 4 x the price.

Or some caustic soda

We’ve used Dishwasher liquid in the grey tank, and I did once put the drain unblocker stuff down the kitchen sink and melted the drain basket/plug!
