Any members of The C &MC read this months letters page? If not I would point them towards page 64 and the title All mod cons and particularly to the suggestion re fitted concertina blinds. Is the writer suggesting that we drive with the blinds closed or am I misreading. Don’t know the layout of the Swift but seems an odd thing to do.

Mines not a Swift but I drive with all blinds open but if it were a van there would be no blinds so either ok .

PS keep the front blinds open when driving;)

I think you’re misreading but not sure how it blocks the mirror view. The rattle however is a nightmare, ours is currently having a few adjustments to reduce this at the dealer.

I had to laugh, our new MH is also called Brian!

Yes understand the comments re rattles. Bit of sponge sorted ours out. But does he mean he travels with blinds closed? If so, why?

All my side blinds are closed most of the time when travelling and parked up.
Especially in Spain etc it reduces heat build up in van and upholstery fading from sun etc

Most vans I see do the same

We sometimes drive with our windscreen blind 1/3 down because it is designed to lock there as a sun shield, but it does start from a long way up on our big screen.

But are they the concertina blinds that close sideways on the doors? Also think it may be different between A class and others. No way could we drive with our side blinds closed as we would not be able to see in our mirrors.

I think there is little confusion re the blinds its the frame surrounding the blind that's obstructing the blind spot mirror.

I read it as he is driving with cab blinds closed.
