Having arrived in Santander for the start of our tour of Spain we booked into Virgen del Mar for two nights having read good reviews on Camper Contact.

The pitches are ridiculously narrow, ( not even room to deploy the roll out awning. Tree planting on pitches and even in the middle of the roadway makes pitching difficult. We are 6.5m long. Longer motorhomes simply gave up.

Much more like an over crowded Aire than a campsite.

I guess they rely on the Santander traffic.

I wonder why the reviews were good.

we only been on a couple of spanish sites and that looks typical, narrow roadways and trees everywhere, imagine once the leaves start growing...

In fairness I should say that there appears to be a lot of money being spent on the site., toilets, bar/ restaurant etc (New owners perhaps). But nothing can improve the pitches. We are so close to the next m/h that we can’t both open our Hab doors at the same time.

I agree with you👍 I would of driven straight out!
Im not a snob! But Far too many C class motorhomes for my liking.😀
