If water freezes in your pipes and heating system, it can cause serious damage. Hence most motorhomes have a frost valve that dumps the water when it gets cold. Some are a bit over sensitive and might open up as high as +5C.

If your frost valve has triggered, make sure you reset it again before you attempt to refill.

I doubt at 1995 it has a auto dump valve but should have a manual dump tap which will be open.
Refill and look underneath for water flowing from a pipe.

You probably have a dump valve and it has triggered to spare your boiler before the temperature dropped any lower.
Make sure your pump is off. If it was on, and you have a pressure system, you may have burnt it out by running it dry for too long.

Else, when you next fill, look around to see where the water is going (it always flows downward).

Thanks all, the dump tap was open, sorted now but I think the pump has burnt out 🤔

Quite possible if it was left on. I always try to remember to switch it off when I've finished using the van.
You should hear it when it's running. Water will take a while to re-fill the system, though.
