Directions for returning from the Algarve. (1 Viewer)

I have tentatively picked a route for the trip home from Messines where we are.
But we have a 6 year old mapbook and are unsure which are tolls and which are not ! !
We go from here to Beja, Evora, Badajoz, Caceres, Salamanca, Valladolid, Palencia, Burgos, Hondarribia and will go toll road to cross the Pyrenees .
Any help much appreciated.

Hi Al-Di.
Messines is just North of Faro in Portugal.
Once we hit France, we are coming up to Calais via Bordeaux.

I know messines, didnt know if you were driving all the way or ferry out of Spain,
as I use non toll routes to the ports,

We did quite a bit of that route last year and just set the sat nav for no tolls so didn't pay anything even through France.

You can stop at Caceres, Palencia and Salamanca and we also stopped at San Sebastián.

Thanks Martin. that route looks OK then and we will dial "NO Tolls" into 'Jane' the Sat Nag.
We DO have Tom Tom on Jenny's I-Pad, with Campercontact, which both work symbiotically.
It sits up on the dash and is a great help to us with "close-up" vision problems.. ((Note DavidG58))

Theres a great (free!) Aire in Badajoz, right by the old bridge and river.

Head north, when you see a sign saying Calais, turn west!

When your feet gets wet, get on ferry with P&O on chimney (generally placed in between sharp pointy bit at front and blunt bit with flag on at back)
