Caught a wall while reversing I know I should have been more careful
Anyone have any ideas for mitigating the damage

They come to you and do the repir at your place. They use a computer to get the paint mix right and as long as the weather isn't horrendous they can do the work outside.

You might want to leave it a while as it's possible you might gain one or two more dings sooner than you think. I have gathered a small collection of dings in various places over the last 6 years. Can't explain most of them.

I have emailed chipsaway for a quote so will wait and see steve69 I may take your advice and put a sticker over it if the cost quote is over the top

I had a dent a fraction of the size of yours a storm debris put a dent in our bonnet.
Called Chipsaway, and sent them a photo as they asked. A couple of days later the local Chipsaway guy came to have a look and said to bigger a job for me mate and buggered off.

Thank you for your enquiry and photo.

Unfortunately this is not something that I would be confident in repairing. I've previously tried to repair dents to motorhome's and caravan's and the end result hass never really been to my satisfaction. This type of work is more suitable for a bodyshop.

Sorry I couldn't be of assistance on this occasion.

Thought the reply would be useful to other Funsters

The same result as me then, I wonder if it was not to the customer's satisfaction rather than his ?

Rather have someone be honest and turn the job down rather than take your money for a botch job

You could try this guy, he looks pretty dam good and charges around £200 squiddlies for most jobs.

You could chat, arrange a site to suit you and have him turn up to do the repair and have a weekend away, just a thought.
