Newer Hymers that have the dimmable spotlights. When the led fails it’s necessary to replace the entire unit, from Hymer they are a stupid price, they can be purchased from Amazon at a fraction of Hymers price. They are identical even to the mounting bracket so if anyone is needing a replacement read on.
An electrician on another group whose spotlight leds failed checked them out and has a theory the voltage when on ehu exceeds the maximum recommended voltage for the Cree led hence the number of owners who have experienced failures. On ehu voltage can be in excess of 13volts dimming the lights which drops the voltage helps prolong the led life. Obviously when not on ehu the problem does not arise.
Changed my lounge one today a relatively straight forward exercise. Apologies if this has already been discussed I couldn’t reference it.
