I need to specify a digital TV ariel for my van to be fitted by the dealer.

What should I be looking for? Any suggestions on good systems for use in the UK.

The Vision Plus Status 550 on my current van has been good and easy to use. I dont want a satellite system.

All comments gratefully received.

I bought one called Moonraker, recommended by canal boat people I spoke to and it is excellent.
Usually gets a signal when trees block due south for the Oyster (y)

Edit : loads on ebay around £40. It is powered and mine plugs into inverter, low current draw I think (hope) never really checked

If you like the Status 550 why not stick with it?

I just thought that I would check with the brains of the forum to see what was around before I spent any money :)

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
I've had two Status aerials fail on me in recent years, both had the same fault with water getting into the aerial head. Prior to this I'd had vans with Status aerials with no problems, but the newer ones seem lighter & perhaps the quality has gone with them.

The aerial we currently have is a Teleco directional & its has performed flawlessly, even getting a good strong signal in the area's where the Status 550 was struggling.

I am toying with getting one of the below fitted. The reasoning for this is that it would be ideal for a DAB head unit as well as the TV.
