Hi all, am thinking about using my spotting scope for a spot of digiscoping, any views on what camera to use? Have just got hold of a fancy bracket that fits onto the scope and has adjustments for the camera to sit right.

Thanks
Charlie

There's a section on digiscoping on here. I tried it for a bit,but got annoyed with having to swing camera into position for each shot.I ended up buying an Eos 40d and a Sigma 150-500 ::bigsmile: Good luck-I've seen superb shots by the experts .I believe Opticron market a 'kit' as does Swarovski. Here is a link to the Opticron website section on telephotography. I have not tried it, but would have thought an SLR would be a better bet than a compact. More control over exposure settings and easier to see what you are doing perhaps?
