DONT buy fuel on the autoroutes...it can be up to10% more expensive.
pull off at major junctions and look for local fuel stations/supermarkets....usually only a mile or two away and far cheaper.

Diesel is always cheaper in France Just don`t use the motorway services they are a lot dearer then the supermarkets:thumb::thumb::thumb:happy travels

Paid between 1.15euro to 1.20euro per litre at supermarket just before X'mas

My daughter arrived back from france yesterday and says non autoroute prices seem to be between 1.20 to 1.40 euro.

She paid 1.45 euro for petrol at a hypermarket, with an exchange rate of 1.07 euro to the pound fuel is not much different to UK.

Diesel was 124.9 Euros today at the supermarkets in Pontivy - Brittany

diesel was €1.21 at Auchan, Calais on 31 December and was similar price on the way to Paris generally about 10-20 cents more at local garages

I don't know about prices on the Continent but at our local garage yesterday it was 132.9p

The highest price I think I've seen anywhere.

Hi Seymore....We live in northern France and at the supermarket pumps on Wednesday -Thursday of this week gone..... it was 1.24 euros per ltr :thumb:.....

(With your exchange rate around 1.10 euros to the £1.00 making it around 1.12 euros per ltr of Diesel for you)
