Diesel at Auchan Calais (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know if there has been a problem with diesel supplies in France. Called at Auchan in Calais on Sunday evening. Long queue and only two pumps working. Pump very slow at filling and cutting off after supplying 25 litres. Didn't only happen to us so just wondered if there was a shortage and pump set to supply only 25 litres. Also supermarket 24/24 pump at Uzerche (just above Brive) would not accept either our debit or credit card although we have used them at this supermarket before so wondered if they had a ban on UK cards.

Filled up at Auchan this morning all pumps working.

For those who like Roch Mazet wine Auchan have an offer of buy 2 get one free on the 3 litre boxes so it is 21.2 euros for 3 boxes works out about £5.90 a box.

Bought 6 boxes yesterday but at Leclerc in St. Nazaire full price unfortunately €9.30 ish, they had a 3 for 2 offer last year but not at the branch in Guerande. Wonder if the Auchan offer is limited to certain branches. Roche Mazet are very good value at full price, even better on offer

I was there on Saturday 5th July. All pumps working but very slow had 60 litres at 128.7 euros.

Jeeez !!!! That is damned expensive !!!!! works out at 2.145 € per litre !
Surely it has not gone up that much ?

Sod the fuel! that deal on Roche Mazet is worth having!We managed to get the same deal last year but couldn't find similar this year so paid full price...still good honest wine at a decent price...more than you can say for anything you can find here......managed to liberate 136ltrs this trip!

Three weeks ago diesel was cheaper in France than Spain and had been for some time. The tables have now been reversed.

When we went down to La Rochelle we bought some ten litre boxes from Hypermarche at 15euros it was a bit sharp but we drank it anyway
