Now to start with I have little knowledge of engines or how to repair them.

I went to collect motorhome from secure parking this morning, pulled out from space and noticed liquid trail, opened up bonnet to find quite a diesal leak from a area near the bottom of the carburetta, the vehicle has been serviced in last 3 weeks, anybody any ideas. I realise not a lot to go on, I am with greenflag but they dont attend feul leaks but to recover, which will not happen to wednesday now due to easter.

I would contact whoever did the service, diesel filter is normally replaced. Could be that leaking

Yes, sounds like the diesel filter is leaking. It may need tightening or replacing if damaged during a change.

Take it back to the dealer who serviced it. Good luck.

Diesels dont have a carb :) Does it look like a round canister where it is coming from ? if so that is fuel filter , some models can have a problem with the holder cracking and leaking when filter unit is changed , or it might just be that it is not tight . Do you know someone with more knowledge to have a look ? HTSH

carburetta? Is it petrol??
Bill
If it's diesel sounds like a broken fuel line

Take a photo and put it on here diesel has injectors so photo the bit everyone knows what bit you mean then

Thankyou, see what i mean , not much knowledge on engines, now the mechanic said it could be diesal filter, is it easy to tighten. The problem is the van is parked 26miles away from home.

Sounds like the diesel filter has been overtighten probably been done up without using the correct tool. Common on pre 2013 x250's.
You will need a new filter housing.

I have watched diamond dave on youtube, have some idea what to look for, will go back tomorrow and have a look. Things are sent to try us and to learn from people with more knowledge.

I would think it is the filter. The same thing happened to us after a service about 10 years ago.

I wasn’t as clever as you though and thought this trail of liquid was to do with the air con as it was hot ( we were in Spain at the time). I was observing it whilst having a smoke:rolleyes:
