Dieppe aire - if it’s full…. Has anyone overnighted on the huge car park just to the left as you look towards the ocean?

I prefer to put money into the economy but if we get off ferry and it’s full , we don’t want to drive off in the early hours

We stay here the water is turned of for winter on a slope but nice and quiet 🤫

Google street view certainly shows motorhomes using the car park you have mentioned and it is also marked on the map as an aire.
I've also seen motorhomes parked at night alongside the ferry berth, outside of the main aire under the cliff.

There are 2 aires at Dieppe, 1 near the ferry port, quite big, so should get on, and another one as you cross the bridge overlooking the sea, so you should get on 1 of them

we have stayed at Montville several times now. if the Aire itself is full then you can park on the sports centre car park (we have seen quite a few motorhomes doing that) or even on the church car park that you drive through to get to the Aire, though it means youre nearer to the church bells !

its a great Aire, adjacent to a leisure lake, which is an easy walk around, nice and flat and lots of outdoor gym eqpt and a 2 minute walk to the nearest Boulangerie !!

Last September we stayed on the roundabout between the terminal and the Aire as the Aire was full. Just the one night and we were one of half a dozen parked there

The car park has an Aire section same price €12, we stopped using the Aire when they jacked the price up.
Plenty of Aires within ½ hour drive or you can stop at the port.

When both the aires were full I parked within a designated bay for about two hours in the daytime at the prom and facing the beach about 100m West of the main seafront aire and got a ticket. I complained at the tourist office as there were no m/h prohibition or duration limit signs and they said to ignore it. I never heard any more.
