On and off for many years.
We are thinking of making Devon our first big tour after retirement (April 2015)

Martin's Mum's family were from Devon so we want to walk in the ancestral footsteps and I want to check out my online research with the actual records.

Just a question of when to make the wheels turn in that direction and plan out the stops / camp sites!

Don't go too far west......... if you look on the map it says "here be dragons" :xwink:

Great Idea!
Most years we travel to the North East, where I come from and cover my old haunting grounds to see what or if anything has changed and has that change been for better or worse. We usually visit the pubs, curry houses and other places so familiar to me from old. The Missus enjoys it too (even if She is from Sarf London) so I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
I recently started researching my family and it was only then I discovered my Dad during WWI had been mentioned in dispatches. He nor my Mum ever mentioned to me So expect some surprises when you research yours
