Any recommendations for a site in Derbyshire

Ideally within walking distance of nice village .
Thanks

We're presently on a Camping and caravanning club site edge of little village Youlgreave about 6 miles south of Bakewell - still plentiful spaces.
Access through the village is NARROW repeat NARROW but there are some large A class vans & long caravans here so it can be accessed (just go slow & be prepared for one or two tight squeezes 😥).
Wonderfully quiet (except for sheep bleating a few fields away), pubs in the village, also the local authority has partly dammed the clear water stream to make it a (not deep) swimming area ideal for cooling off during this (wonderful) heatwave.

Not really helpful, but we had a terrible experience on Callow Top near Ashbourne and would never go back

Don’t stay at the CAMC site in Buxton, it’s in a reclaimed Quarry and the crows nesting in the rock face will wake you up at stupid o’clock! Every morning 😱

Upper Hurst Farm near Harrington. Lovely site, great facilities, quiet, plenty of walks and cycling from the site

Castleton is nice, very well looked after, communal areas were spotless, walking distance to castleton , bus stop right outside , fares seem to be £5.40 return wherever you want to go , bakewell is about 40 mins on the bus

Chapel Farm, Heathcote near Buxton. No showers or toilets and is adult only, but very friendly and helpful owners, fantastic views and lovely twenty minute walk into Hartington with pubs, shops and a superb (but pricey) cheese shop.

Enjoying a peaceful beer in Belper. Staying at ‘The Firs’ a CAMC site

Now called Oakhill. Cromford is a World Heritage Site, & it’s within walking distance of Matlock Bath, & 8 miles from Chatsworth.

Castletown CAMC, was there last month - great walks, nice meals in the village.

C&mc at castleton is nice, and the one at chatsworth is also nice,

Nice site just on the fringe of Hope village. Used it last year. Going again end of this month. Laneside.

If you are a CMC Member there is a CL at the Heritage Wood near Ednaston. Not really near a village but lots of walks and it's very peaceful.

Also there's The Firs and Upper Hartshay as previously mentioned plus a private site not far from The Firs called Broadholme Lane Caravan Park which is basic but okay.

Was on CAMC site at buxton 3 weeks ago apart from being a bit isolated had a good time , good fresh cakes at reception and clean toilets

Thanks for all the sugestions, we will have a look at them all on line.

Greenhills, walking distance to Bakewell and a nice bar with local real ales, Thornbridge Brewery, which you walk past on the way into Bakewell.Pizza van on Friday evenings.

Love the look at that Greenhills, will deffo be giving that a stay.
We used it for a weekend as a trail run for a new MH a couple of years ago and it was great. Good bar and not a bad walk into Bakewell. Mkt day is Saturday and it's a lovely little town. Ashford on the water, with 1 pub, is even closer. Worth a trip, a tad pricey but worth it IMHO.
