Delay C1 (1 Viewer)

Hi All,
I need to delay renewing my C1 as I have to go into hospital and cannot get the medical done, this is my question:
Can I just renew my standard licence and the C1 later on, If so what forms do i need?
I am type 2 diabetic on insulin and therefore only get a 1 year licence,
Need to get this done on Monday morning before I go in the same afternoon,

As for answering your question, I think not keeping your C1 C2 license will be far more involved trying to re instate it later than keep it going.
Mybe someone on the forum is in this position to know.
