I need to know the :-
Service interval on Ducato
And interval for cambelt.
I need Fiats interpretation and not others recommendations.
Not being rude i may have a dispute with the dealer we have just purchased off . So if anyone has the answer I would be grateful.

Have you contacted a fiat professional service center to ask their view?

ours is an x250 2012 Euro 5, and i got in touch by phone with fIAT tech services after we had the van new as there was pressure from the local agent to service the vehicle at 12 months,
the reply was as chaser states above, 48k kms or 24 months.

lots say change oil and filter every 12 months. but the official line is as above.

Bearing in mind that these vans are designed to be run as fleet delivery possibly doing 100 to 250 miles a day, the service periods are not designed to protect the engines longevity only keep it operating for the 2 or 3 years the fleet operate them before they are auctioned off.
if you are running one as a PVC or motorhome, you should consider that the engines are the same as car engines and the maximum mileage between services would be 12000 miles as you want the engine to last.
So imho you should ignore the manufacturers service periods and get it serviced every 12 months or 12000 miles otherwise you may end up with a new engine needed.
dont stint on servicing.

Don't disagree on that but the OP asked for the Fiat rules.
So that is what I quoted not my opinion.

I haven’t checked my new book but on our 2016 Ducato it was two years or I think 20k but if under 10k miles you need to change oil.

I think it varies depending upon the model year and engine type and size. So best to tell us that info.

My 2015 X290 Fiat specifies that the service interval is 30,000 miles or 2 years, whichever comes first. The timing belt is shown as being checked at 60,000 miles or 4 years and changed at 120,000 miles or 8 years, although that does not apply to my particular engine because it has an internal timing chain.

From memory these are different to the earlier X250 model which required yearly services and belt changed at 6 years (I think)

The reason for asking for a difinitive answer is i was given duff advice re the service and cam belt period and i want the amo to go back at the dealer as we bought the van and took his line which now appears wrong and i will need to pay for both service and new cambelt.

Simon, can you be more specific on which model/engine type you have?

That wat you should get a definitive answer

Taken from my 2018 Ducati handbook.
SCHEDULED PERIODIC CHECKS SERVICING
Correct servicing is crucial for guaranteeing a long life for the vehicle under the best conditions. This is why Fiat has planned a series of checks and maintenance operations every 48,000 km depending on the engine version. It is, however, important to remember that scheduled servicing does not completely cover all the requirements of the car: even in the initial period before 48,000 km, and then subsequently between one service and another, ordinary care is always required such as routine checks involving topping up fluid level, checking tyre pressures etc. IMPORTANT Scheduled Servicing interventions are set out by the Manufacturer. Failure to have them carried out may invalidate the warranty. Scheduled Servicing can be carried out by any Fiat Dealership, at pre-established times. If during each operation, in addition to the ones scheduled, the need arises for further replacements or repairs, these may only be carried out with the express agreement of the Customer
If your vehicle is used frequently for towing, the interval between service coupons must be reduced
(6)Advised maximum mileage192,000km.Irrespective of the mileage, the timing drive belt must be changed every 4 years for heavy-duty use(cold climates, town use, longperiods of idling) or at least every 5 years

It is clearly and explicitly stated in the vehicle handbook and differs according to the age and engine emissions grouping of the vehicle. You can't get more definitive than that, no matter what anyone might offer as their interpretation on a forum, particularly as no-one knows the relevant details of your vehicle.

If you don't have the original handbook, register on Fiat's My Ducato website and follow the links to the eLum document portal which will offer the correct manuals for your specific vehicle as downloadable Acrobat files.
