At first we thought just over two weeks in Scotland at the end of July and beginning of August, then after discovering that there are plagues of midges at that time of year we decided on Northumberland.

Last week we were talking to someone at the Easter rally with the MCC and they told us of the beauty of travelling up the Moselle from Trier to Koblenz. Sounded wonderful. We haven't travelled Germany before only the Uk and France.

We had a quick look at the cost of the tunnel, booking directly with Euro tunnel, for the two weeks and it was about £240. Can't remember exact price, so would be travelling from there. I'm sure two weeks is enough time to cover that area. We were told that there are plenty of sites along the river but what about Aires?

Would we need to think about booking sites for the Moselle trip at that time of year?

What are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Nice trip. A few Aires we visited last year. They are all paying ones but not expensive.
