My compliments on your workshop.

And your enthusiasm, it's what stops the undertaker calling.

Last time I went to Santa Pod it was either '68 or '69, used to camp in the padock with all the compeditors, bet you can't do that now.

Interesting SA I visit santa pod on occasions and it always amazes me just how quick and noisy some of these cars are. Now I don't want you to laugh your socks off but I have been driving an F type R a bit recently the quick one with 500+ hp 4x4 and 0-60 in a tad over 3 secs with 200ish max. Now to me this jag is scaringly fast it feels like it is attempting to pull the tarmac from the road.
Now the silly question....:) how does that compare with the feelings you get in your bullet car. Just interested...(y)

Interestingly there is not the same sensation of sinking into the seat, very little upholstery if any and being strapped in tight mean you become part of the car, and as we attempt to only go in a straight line (not always successfully) its just pure acceleration.

The car above takes 1.1 seconds to travel the first 60 feet and to around 4 to 5 seconds for the first 220 yard by which time it is going 145 -150 mph, 1/4 mile is around 8 seconds with this combination with a best of 7.9 @ 170ish mph. not bad for a std block from a 50 + year old design.

We have fun.. Personal best is 7.4 @197 mph when i drove someone elses car (supercharged) blue car is normally aspirated.

Thanks SA that sounds incredible. At least you don't have to set the speed limiter to 80 to hold onto your license..(y):)

Our first van was a ci. We had a great time with her whilst we took the kids with us. Ours had bunks and two doubles , plus a little kids bench bed.
We've downsized now there's just the two of us.
Your car looks great fun.

I'm afraid the motivation has been lacking for a while .

I've had that in the past. Sometimes a year or two off brings back the enthusiasm.

You might find getting a MH and wandering all over Europe watching hits the spot for a while.

I’m surprised you have opted for a front engined rail, Big Daddy from the USA pioneered rear engined rails after an engine explosion blew part of his foot off!.
Welcome by the way.
