Hi everyone, we are looking for decent motorhome sites in Spain that have good cycling routes nearby. We are planning to spend at least a month there so would need to have good amenities in the area. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in Advance, Lilli

Bonterra resort has a good choice of cycle paths and off road whichever takes your fancy.

That was what I was going to suggest !

Take torches for the tunnel !

Load Wikiloc onto your smartphone....do search, then load park4night on, a great couple of Apps to narrow your search....what time are you planning on being in Spain, it averages 33 degrees here on the Costas...up north in Galicia you can take 10 degrees off that......big country, lots of interesting regions outside the Med....Keep spinning. ;)

As others have mentioned, Bonterra has some excellent cycle paths nearby but if you want something more strenuous I’m sure there are some good routes as a couple we met there last June used to go out early in the morning for 40+ mile rides several times a week. Site also has everything you need close by.

September this year, yes I already have park4night but I was looking more for a site to stay on for 2-3 weeks or so

Great time to come...the kids have returned to confinement and the Spanish late summer is still with us....if it's coastal you want then there will be loads of Funsters who flock to these regions....if you have any other regions you might want to explore lets us all know..
Ensure you have an ACSI card to be able to get a better deal during out of season periods..

Calpe was great for cycling. A few good motorhome parks.

The professional cycling teams train from there over the winter.

Loads of cycling routes in the area and I got out most days.

That’s a bit of a coincidence. Stood with my bike on the train home & talking to another passenger about cycling he mentioned that place 🤔
It is/is near Benicassim right?

There are several sites north of Benicassim at Oropesa del mar. A via verde runs along an old railway line by the sea. We go in the winter for about 7/8 weeks and there are sufficient bars and restaurants to meet our needs. Depends on season as to the activities open.

Were you there last winter?

Hi

Can I ask what type of cycling ?

Easy, flat, sight, hills, touring, mountain ?
Prefer flat or a few slopes but nothing major, touring bikes really can do about 15 miles

This site, just off the motorway Teruel to Valencia, is right next to one of the via verdes.

We've stayed there a few times, especially off season when you can use ACSI.
