i have finally had a price for supply only from T/W for a set of Abus locks with the plastic surrounds for our Hymer £1,100 supply only I some how think that is not going to happen the plastic the plastic trims are almost £250.
I can get the
Locks much cheaper but have no alternative with the trims and bracket.

My Hymer MLI ,has Yale deadlocks on all the 4 doors, bit of fiddling but they cost £12.72 each so a fiddle was worth it. simple to fit and really secure now. I suggest you look at them before giving TW a wadge of living vouchers. They look very similar but without the stupid price of the ABUS ones.

First moho 11/2013, second 11/2014 current from 09/2019.
Steve, I bought the locks myself and had them fitted by Paul Harrison who is based in Worcester. Paul is a retired locksmith who now fits the Hymer specific locks in his spare time when he is not in his moho. It took about and hour and a quarter per lock. I am really pleased to have the extra security and peace of mind.

We had them factory fitted on the last two vans had corrosion working out from under them, I don't think they seal the edge after cutting the hole. Living 200yds from the sea doesn't held. Have not bothered with them on this van.

Some pics of your locks would be interesting Graham @GWAYGWAY

That looks interesting @Mr Mousy . We've got them factory-fitted on the hab and driver's door, but were thinking of having some on the garage doors.

That seems very good value at £95 (supply only) per door for an A Class. Just a set for my PVC cost around £300.

These are the locks that I have fitted to both left front and habitation and both rear garage doors. These were from Ebay seller logoconrad 46034 They are Yale Y5060 deadbolt nightlatch units and were £13.99 each. I have the four on all the doors and at the price of the ones that are offered elsewhere that would be totally out of the question. I needed to space them from the inner door surface and used plywood but might change it later for something more decorative. I will also fit some trim around the inside of the holes I made in the cab doors to finish them off some piping or the like.

Here are the photos before, I see where the spacer is needed as the bracket is £90 for the front door,
The new plastic covers are £147 for the front and £114 for the hab door.
Fitting them is not a problem and I was thinking of having some small brushed stainless surrounds lasered out to stop any corrosion and Finnish the outside off.

Every different model has a different locking system and trim panel mine was just as I did them but the left door required a spacer to move the whole lock out about an inch, so I tig welde an aloy tube and two plates to fit over the lock body and the mechanism . this was to get the distance correct for the sticky out bit to clearjust the trim and still keep it tight. needed an extension to operate the knob though but that is to follow. I put my finger int a hole to turn it at the moment but the new knob will be easier to turn. works Ok though.

On drivers door I fitted a key with an extension and turn knob through the cover plate and left key in lock on inside worked a treat.
On hab door just trimmed existing infill to fit lock.

I used Abus double locking dead locks.(y)(y)(y)

Have they given you the part numbers for the drivers door? Our hab door is different to yours, just a recess, no removable panel, like @GWAYGWAY
Might be worth trying to order from a German dealer.
No no part numbers just prices and I have to pay up front I think I may just have to buy the covers as I do not really have a choice if I want it to look proper.

I must admit if I had the lock in my hand like @GWAYGWAY has said I could just turn up a couple of new extended knobs.

Knobs that are suitable are available from Axminster tools, I bought a set of various ones in a set box.

First thing I did when we bought the new Hymer was to unlock all the lockers and the diesel and water caps .
They will probably never be locked ever again.
Fitting security in my mind just means more damage done when you get broken into.
The only person being fooled by trying to secure a motorhome is the owners.

@SteveandDenise A updates on this? I’ve just ordered two of the Yale ones off eBay for £15, without cylinders.
Once I’ve actually got them I can start fiddling to see if they’ll fit. If they do I can then buy two keyed alike cylinders from my local locksmiths.
I think I can modify the cover on the driver/passenger door to an acceptable look but I’m concerned about the hab door as I don’t have the removable panel and will have to cut it without knowing what lays behind.

On the front door I have ordered the plate from Hymer £30 there are two types double glazed not double glazed this will make fitting easy then I will get some locks from Motorhome locks in Pershore.
As for your hab door there is a fitting guide on Paul Harrison’s web site.

So do you leave the doors unlocked at home? o_O

Its one thing to try to mitigate any possible future damage but IMV quite another to have it easily accessible to the non-tooled-up opportunist thieves of which I suspect there are more!

We were parked a few years ago, sat in our MH having our lunch when a couple of lads pottered round the back and were acting suspicious, I saw one try to open our garage door and chased them off ... if it had been unlocked they could easily have nicked something ... they weren't tooled up, just looking for a quick nick!

Here is my solution to keeping the interior trim looking tidy after fitting deadlocks. I drilled and tapped rear latch knob 8mm and purchased nickel plated 8mm capscrews and brass chrome plated radiator washers (15mm dia hole)these were secured by 3m heavy duty circular double sided sticky pads trimmed to suit. The trim

covers I very carefully cut to suit and cut bolts to length. I have 2 small 6mm Allen keys inside the van to operate the lock from inside the van. I am well pleased with the result. If anyone wants links to components just ask

Yes never lock doors or windows at home .
Sleep with doors wide open in summer
We have slept in the motorhome with the door open at night too .
And yes we have been broken into twice and have had a caravan stolen so these days prefer not to bother with security as it's just more damage done
