Amazing the difference a lick of paint can make. Looking forward to seeing the completed job.

we can see that the gay gene clearly avoided you Daz, or it would all be sparkling and sequins rather than mustard yellow. otherwise it looks like a great job you are doing

I’m beginning to hate you mate!

Never had such feelings of inadequacy. I think i’m doing well if I replace a window seal or install a shelf in a motorhome cupboard. You are way outside my comfort zone.

You are doing a fantastic job and I am enjoying(?) your project. I hope you get the pleasure from it that you truly deserve. Nice one.(y)(y)

Quick update.... Had a full service early december, got a list off the garage of necessary work, and still need all the belts doing (want timing belt done asap) and one of them squeals like hell til a few miles and it warms up. Booked it in for 14 jan.

Went to visit fambly down in Scarborough over the xmas period. Booked an extended stay from 24 dec to 3 jan. I set off from Scotland a few days early, in the van, as I had a couple of jobs to do and being laden with Santa and baby stuff I was taking it slow.
All went well, good journey down and a good xmas was had by all 15 of us.
Lynne and I set off on 27th for a break and to visit more relatives before New Year.
About 30 miles into the journey the belt was squealing away like a tortured something... Then the battery warning light came on, but, it was a lot quieter!
Being more of an internal fix man than a mechanic, I was hoping it was the belt rather than the Alternator... £££.
Stopped a few miles down the road and googled it.
Oh, belt may drive water pump!
Ok, more coffee breaks....
So we drove from Scarborough to Doncaster to sunny scunny and back to Scarborough, over a few days, and made it, without a water pump, and travelling in daylight to save the battery!
Managed to get booked in a local garage for 2nd jan, all the belts and a repair to the diesel pump (leaking), but problem with belt kit incompatibility with pulley/tensioner something or other. Tried all their regular suppliers as well as fiat and iveco, no joy. They found the part on ebay, but in germany! Delivery date unknown!
Lynne had gone back to Scotland with Hanna and grandbaby for her second new eye lens op. My Dad and wsm are away on holiday on 7th, I'm house sitting!

End of the story, Lynne caught the train down as she was missing me, aww, put off the Scotland garage til feb, eventually got away from Scarborough on 15th and back to the daughters yesterday! It's running better now, just the steering rack, radiator, wheel bearings, and an "intermittent almighty judder" to sort now!

Also, just started back today, removed bog again n all boxing in around it, moved cold feed from behind loo into new position for shower, BORE ALERT this involved cutting out a tee and replacing with a straight connector, then cutting into the hose further round and refitting the tee piece. But I had to salvage the old fitting from the original crimped fittings, soften all joints with hot water for them to fit small hose on wide connectors, then on the last joint, the bloody jubilee clip threaded, so I had to pull the hose off before it cooled and I couldn't get it off, then refit, and it had to be the shortest, fiddliest bit just poking out from the bottom of the boiler cupboard!

Lot of pencil and paper work on shower tray size, supports and waste pipe.
Got to create a duck board type thing for the shower tray as the loo was fitted a bit high!
Also more scribblings to try and work out how to wire water pump up to power and 2 switched taps tomorrow, that will free a cupboard up when we don't have to carry 8 assorted plastic 2l bottles with water.

Looking forward to running water, but we had to drink wine when we ran out of water....
