We have daytime running lights on our 2012 ducato, :xeek: turned them off.
In poor visibility put the headlights on as I have always done. :xgrin: Bob.

Why have daylight running lights? My Autosleeper has them as standard but they are only on in the front; why are there not rear daylight running lights? Went rhough a tunnel in Itlay with just DRL and was flashed from behind by a local Italian to switch on my lights.
In poor visibility I switch on my headlights anyway, so I don't see the need for DRL!

Which you can do on the 2012 model. They appear to have removed that option for 2013 on. :(

Which is the right thing to do, whether DRL fitted or not. They go off as soon as the headlights are turned on. One of the problems of DRL is that people delay switching from them to headlights, forgetting that they have no lights on at all to the rear.

I do find it annoying that on the newer Fiats you can't even turn the ignition on without also having either the DRL or the headlights on.
