I have searched the forum but cannot find the exact answer to my question but I am sure it will be there somewhere. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
Our fully vaccinated British friends who are resident in Spain are visiting the UK via Santander/Portsmouth ferry then travelling to East Yorkshire to rent a holiday let for a month. The ferry is a late arrival so they will have to overnight at a hotel on the way north. Time is of the essence for them so they are trying to find a provider for a LFT with result at the time or ASAP.
I have looked on the Gov list of approved providers and cannot find any location circa Hull where they can go to the likes of a chemist, as you can do on the continent.
Many of the companies still suggest a PCR test is needed but I know this is not right, and I know the LFT tests may also be unnecessary in the next month or so. Also info is lacking Re getting the quick results although I think I’ve read on here you email them a photo of a self LFT and the email you back.
So 3 questions really:
Anyone know where they could go get one immediately circa Hull?
Can you get a test kit posted to you and do the test with a result the same day by whatever method e.g photo & email, recommendations please of provider?
Re the address being a holiday let can any tests posted out be posted to me to safely receive & hand to them when they arrive up north or must it be sent to the address on their arrivals form?
I appreciate most here will be going home. Having not done any of these things or had cause to research the gov pages I would welcome any help.
