Can anyone give me a definitive date for MHs able to tour Scotland for non Scottish residents (I'm coming from NI)? Getting conflicting advice from various websites and a Scottish Cousin. Help I need out !!

As Razamataz says.
This is the current timeline -
26-Apr-21 Return to levels system
Domestic travel ban lifted, ‘stay at home’ guidance removed
All shops, gyms, libraries, museums, galleries and tourist accommodation to reopen, as well as some indoor hospitality, including pubs restaurants and cafes

17-May-21 (if Covid transmission and hospitalisations remain low)
Re-introducing in-home socialising for up to 4 people from up to 2 households
Further re-opening of hospitality: bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes can stay open until 22:30 indoors with alcohol permitted and 2 hour time-limited slots and until 22:00 outdoors with alcohol permitted
Adult outdoor contact sport and indoor group exercises can resume
Cinemas, amusement arcades and bingo halls can re-open subject to capacity constraints
Small scale indoor and outdoor events can resume subject to capacity constraints (to be confirmed following stakeholder engagement
Colleges and universities can return to a more blended model of learning
More in-person (face-to-face) support services can resume
Non-professional performance arts can resume outdoors

30-Jun-21 All restrictions lifted

Gellyneck's post refers only to The Scots in Scotland I think.

I am looking obsessively as booked to go in May !
The Islands are not covered by the general rules [sigh !] but Skye is classed as mainland because of the bridge .

Re going from England- [from Visit Scotland site today ] -WHEN CAN I TRAVEL TO SCOTLAND FOR A TRIP?
There are no firm plans on reopening to the rest of the UK yet, but it's hoped this will be possible on 26 April or shortly after.

Also saw this repeated in a newspaper...but confusing indeed as there is often no reference to the possibility of crossing the border.. keeping fingers crossed

So 26th onwards is ok for scottish residents only, us foreigners from NI and presumably England will need to wait for further announcements from Scottish Executive. No point in booking the Cairnryan ferry yet then. You're lucky, nothing from our esteemed politicians at Stormont.

As Kirsten said above, not even any tentative dates for cross border travel yet.

That's basically what my post says, "Domestic (ie internal Scotland) travel ban lifted, ‘stay at home’ guidance removed". It's hoped that cross-border travel may be able to resume then also but update on this will, probably, be at the next planned update which, from memory, is scheduled for 20th April.
The additional dates give further info on what will be opened when.

Apologies if previous response was ambiguous.

So you are only able to travel over the border from Scotland to England after 26th April and only then if further announcements permit?

If you managed to ‘sneak‘ past the border guards, barbed wire, searchlights and fierce corgis (or highland terriers) from Scotland to England are the
MHs from Scotland (or NI/Wales) able to tour England in their MH from 12th April or is that a border infringement issue for the England covid enforcement authorities?

There is no cross border travel allowed for non essential purposes, list of essential reasons are on the Scot Gov website. As previously said no date yet given for this. However , more positively, First Minister has said at the briefings that it was hoped to allow this on the 26th April or shortly thereafter, if the data allows etc etc.

Scotland excluded but travel is permitted in England from the 12th April and is already allowed in Wales for locals.

So at what date can we travel into Scotland and be allowed to stay overnight? Anyone know?

This is the link to the Scottish Government Proposed Timetable for reopening the economy. Everything is conditional upon no further flare ups or related pandemic problems.
Scotland Reopening Timetable
If you open the link and click on the 'Travel' Tab on the lh side, you will see that travel outwith Scotland is still vetoed. The only mention of a date is in 'Like UK Gov, foreign travel is unlikely to be before 17 May'. Everything is 'subject to review' so don't hold your breath ...

Dear God- loosing will to live here.
Long story short 6 of us planning to moho in 3 vans up to Skye in May [ hoped to go onto Lewis but ? apparently Islands definitely not opening still in different tiers ] so have booked mainly 2 xnights at CCC and C and M sites with refunds/moveable dates/no booking fees etc . Herding cats trying to get itinery sorted- breakthrough last night when finally booked first leg and way home apart from 2 nights.
Phoned a chosen campsite to book as they had no online booking and lovely owner said they were not taking any bookings as the proposed lockdown regs only refer to self catering accommodation NOT any camping at all, and that anyone taking bookings in Scotland has no basis to assume the campsites will open even for Scottish residents [we thought the gamble was us sassenachs/expat scots making a break for the border] on the 26th April.
Anyway going to book somewhere else that will let us book , bu this has taken hours of work to plan and re plan at various hurdles and I am wondering if the carefree days of just going out in the van will ever return. Yes I know there is a pandemic but we still have to live a life and I wish that someone somewhere would clarify things! Rant over xx

FROM BBC NEWS
A kayaker thought to have breached Covid rules by travelling from England to camp in Scotland had to be rescued after getting stuck on an island without a paddle.

The man had been camping on the west side of Inchtavannach at Loch Lomond and returned to his kayak after a walk to find his paddle missing.

The police were alerted and the Loch Lomond Rescue Boat sent out to take him back to his car on the mainland.

A statement from the rescue boat team says: "Please could we remind all to stick to the Covid rules and keep people safe."

Under Covid travel restrictions for people living in England, holidays to any other part of the UK will not be allowed until at least 12 April.

The following paragraph explained that cross border travel would not be before 26th April, but hopefully soon after.

Funnily enough that's the island they're planning to rename Inchupacreek! :whistle2:

Seriously though, it's the island where Scottish Natural Heritage poisoned the beech tree forest a few years ago.:swear2: Used to dinghy sail to it back in the 70's.

They really hate the English up there don't they. The Alba Party still talking about wars with the English from hundreds of year ago. How sad is that?

Hmm. Did you look at any of the opinion polls to see how much support Alba part has?
Tiny. And if you look at the polls of support for leaders Alex Salmond is even lower than Douglas Ross.

O Dear. Sounds like someone that’s never been to Scotland.
Come and see for yourself I can assure you of beautiful scenery, and a very warm and friendly welcome wherever you go, and wherever you come from. So come on. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧
