Data hungry Ipads (1 Viewer)

Presently in Spain, we have a 3 midi with a fair use allowance of 19gb per month, we are running 2 IPads I have stopped automatic updates and apps updating also ICloud photo back ups but we seem to be using a lot of data each day, what am I missing that needs stopping, any suggestions most welcome as we are away for almost 3 months. TIA

turn off wifi assist too if it's on.
Settings > Mobile data > scroll down

Very interesting, Ive noticed that Im using a huge amount of data without any reason on my ipad air 2 for the last 3-4 weeks . I've also stopped updates etc... but I'm still seeing the same thing!

Go to Settings > Mobile Data

It'll tell you how much each app has been using.
