Looking to buy a dashcam and on checking see the following is considered a good one. Just wondered if anyone has one of this particular model and what the general opinion of it is?
Thanks Ian

A picture or link to it would help. Many of the same models are sold under different names depending on the importer etc.

Built in wifi? Interesting.

Don't know much about these things except to say that the one Jaws was supplying for £30 is great and more importantly I understand it!!!

By a strange coincidence the Telegraph published a review of 4 dashcams in their motoring supplement today. Pricewise they are way above the ebay cams.

And it was...?

GPS and speed information, which some dashcams record, might be useful but only of course if you drive within the speed limits - otherwise the data could be somewhat damaging if you had an accident!

The reason I purchased the Roadhawk was that I could use it as evidence in a non fault accident. It records my precise location on both GPS and on Google maps, the time (GMT + or - etc.) my speed, any knocks/bumps/ shocks to my vehicle, sound and of course a HD picture with exceptional quality , even at night. It also records a second film clip in a separate file if the shock sensor is triggered (adjustable)

Andy, fluffy dice and dashboard teddybears spring to mind....both positions I your pics block your view of the road.
That has a poor mountimg system in my opinion....far too long stalk.

You cannot see the Roadhawk from front or driving postion. It's obscured behind the rear view mirror. (Sorry! not trying to push this but just giving a heads up on it's features. You can also permanently wire it in if you want to but I chose not to so it stays on when the ignition is off (one Gig lighter permanently on!)

A proper mount.

I was going to include that in my last post.

It is also top of my wish list.

Mine is about half the height of the clipboard that I don't use.

I thought the clip board was in a fixed position. Looking at your's it seems it can be raised. Or is it just the angle the photo has been taken from
