The Nextbase 222 is one of the more affordable models in the company's Series 2 range. It's got the same recording resolution as its predecessor, the iN-CAR CAM 212 Lite, but it has a slightly smaller display. What will you get if you upgrade to this model? We've put this Nextbase dash cam...
The majority of dashcams use the same sensor and the same board. Even many of the big brands. There's very little difference between them. There's a few YouTube videos about it. Unless you plan on vlogging, most of the features the fancy ones add are pointless. Reliably is the most important feature. You want to fit and forget and hope you never need it.
Personally I prefer the models that use adhesive mounts instead of suction cups. GPS is useful for getting the correct time and adding speed, but not essential.
And if you've got blinds, think about mounting. I've ended up mounting mine upside down on the dash for my last two vans.
