I would like to find a dash cam that can be mounted on the dash instead of the windscreen but I havn't found one yet, Any ideas Please?

This thread shows how I mounted my Nextbase 622W to the Ducato mirror boss without it interfering with the Remis blind set, but the powered base comes with a 3M adhesive pad and it could be mounted anywhere you want.

Why not buy a dash mount and put the camera on that….?

I took our garmin dashcam out of our little van and just double sided it to the dash in our ducato based MH for a trip to europe.
Perfect position, doesnt move around and allows the internal blinds to open and close without fouling.

When I was using a Nextbase 512GW, I mounted it on a sticky backed mount on top of the dash, fed the power through under the glovebox and then hardwired it in via the fuse box.
The dashcam stays in situ when the blinds are closed. You could use it upside down by the invert image option in the camera menu.

We have a glovebox on top of the passenger side dash on our van which I removed to get access to mount a hardwired power supply for the camera and to route the cabling to the camera and across behind the dash to the fuse board by the driver's knee and piggybacked the power for the power supply onto an ignition operated fuse.

I stick the suction mount of my cheapo apeman dashcam at the bottom of the windscreen. The image does not need to be inverted. It is removed when I close the blinds.

Another benefit is that when the sucker fails, it can't fall more than a couple of inches.
