having had a scary experience on the M25 recently, have decided to get a dash cam.

Quite fancy the nextbase 312g - anybody have one of these?

When it says "recording time: 5 minute loops" does that mean it is intended purely for use in case of an incident/accident, and not as a record of a journey of longer than 5 minutes?

Getting better month by month.
5 min segments then another 5 and so on. This is to break down video size. If you need to watch something 3 hours away, it would take a lot of searching for. It will keep recording until the memory card is full then start again over writing the oldest stream. Bumps or saved time lines are never over written.
