Dash Cam again! (1 Viewer)

My nice neat Chinese Dash Camera has just packed up after five years and eBay don't keep details of purchases that far back. It was about an inch diameter and three inches long with the GPS in the mounting base of which I have two.
Anyway reading on here the Nextbase seems to be recommended but which one?
There seems to be 212, 312 and 412 which seem to vary from £75 to £110. And they seem to be much larger than my previous one. I also need to mount it on the dash behind the screen rather than on the screen. Does the image rotate? Which one is best and why?

If you want a small one , consider a wireless one without a screen. You just connect your phone. The recording is still on card.

We purchased a Nextbase 312GW a few months ago, chose it because of its Wi Fi capabilities which means its very easy to download any files that you want to keep. We also wanted one that could be dash mounted and you can rotate the image on this model, however you need to remember that the fixed controls on the frame of the camera will then be upside down. Easy to use and produces an excellent image.

What is the difference between the 412G & 412GW. Is it the mag mount and if so as I will be mounting it on the dash behind the blinds is it of any use.
I have found the 412G at a very good discounted price.

Don't think there is a 412G? Is it a 402G you're looking at?

Yes went back in and it was the 402G I was looking at which is the 2014 version, so looking around Argos was same as everybody else at £109 instant pickup. So went and bought one this morning.
Possibly I could have done better.

That was the only reason I suspected you may have misread the model number.

Could it have been a G1W camera? Mine is now 5 years old and still works perfectly although the fastening to window clip could be better. See Techmoan for ideas about which camera to buy.

Yes just brought the 412GW from amazon, and got 20% off the SD card, but I'm sure I was overcharged for the card at £15.95 but hey ho

Argos advertise the 412GW for £109 but when you go in to the store they try to charge £129 because that is what their tills have on them so have it on your phone or do click n collect to save an argument. When I pointed it out she changed it.
