This is the utterly heart breaking footage of what used to be an amazing asset to our local area, the knock on effect is going to be felt here.
It is believed that this was deliberate.

Hope insurance covers the whole cost of a rebuild, as it was very popular, and was on our list to visit.

It will be rebuilt as it is insured, but what a time to lose this wonderful asset.
The local aren't the only ones who's hearts have been broken.

It will be yes, the estate owner and all involved are so upset, I was in tears watching the footage.

I really hope they find them, I think local people would like to get hold of them, if they are local they had better move away.

Yes Les, it was an amazing place and a huge loss to Mark (estate owner) and the local area.
I have driven my horse up to the wooden fort you see in the footage, but not to the observatory, it really is a stunning place, I just hope they rebuild as soon as is possible.
We would happily live up there full time to protect it.

We've seen sacks of rubbish dumped way away from the bins (free to dump in Spain) yet someone passes them and leaves their rubbish in a farmers field a few km along a rough track, taking the effort to drive there .... WHY!

They are, can you imagine the reaction if the same was done to them.
I just do not understand anyone who behaves in such a way.
Yes we can all make a mistake, not realising that we have dropped something, but there is no excuse for that.
