Made some carpets for the van vinyl floor and found that one was damp across the end, for about 4" in from the end, this is at the low point of the floor. The floor under the carpet also had some slight moisture on it.

I cannot see anyway that it got wet, as it is at the front of the van with no water pipes nearby. There are a couple of roof windows, which I have tried to test with a hosepipe, but neither appear to leak and are not directly above the spot, and there are no other water marks of signs

Although we have had some heavy rain lately the van has not been moved for about 3 weeks

Is it possible that this is condensation?

It is the lower floor level in the image with a small piece of carpet laid on it

Leaking tap or drain pipe is favourite in my experience

This area is just behind the driver's seat and not near any pipework. The waste has never been used and the water pump was turned off

The only possibility that I can think of is that under the carpet the vinyl floor is "sweating"

I had this on my Rapido. I found the problem with mine. When filling with water. If I had the pressure too high from the hosepipe water was backing up and running down the outside of the filler. My fresh water tank is under the front bench seat. Not had any problems since slowing down the flow.

Odd place to get condensation unless the boards underneath are wet. I think some water has run under the carpet and the end bit has dried out first but where from?.

I had the shower mixer tap leaking behind the shower wall at the very rear of the van so totally invisible. I spotted the water coming out by the drivers door. My van has a forward tip to it:rolleyes:

I very much doubt its condensation or the floor sweating - no matter how much you will like it to be:Eeek:
