So was all sorted to go to Whitby with the wife and dogs, then there was a row and I decided the weekend was a nogo, then 'er indoors finally saw sense and thought we'll go today but after planning several options for a wild stop it appears there's a massive regatta on! Bugger that then. In non covid times yeah, I'd likely still go but no, not with covid etc and 2 dogs that aren't well enough behaved in such crowds.

Now planning a late wild in Cromer or nearby, a day out in Cromer and surrounding then another wild stop and home Monday.

Coastal resorts are packed out at the moment, we tried a couple in Norfolk this week, Wells and Blakeney Point , nowhere to park and jam packed with tourists, will wait until end of August when most will have gone home.

Oh god yes, Wells / Blakeney will be rammed.
Plan is a wild tonight (arrive about 9-10pm) up early and get parked in Cromer Sunday morning and enjoy the early morning quiet as everyone else lies in :-) Then another wild camp before home on Monday

Wild camp around Cromer ? Is that possible ? Great memories parking up on Runton rd in sleath transit van with sliding door against wall of sunken gardens , no problem .

How about somewhere like hornsea?

Quieter than Whitby or Scarborough.

cheers James

In high season probably better to find somewhere inland as most families take the kids to coastal sites fir the beach , no entertainment for kids at rural CLs etc.

we had our fish and chips and are now camped up just the other side od Sheringham 👍 oh and five other vans were already here.

We used to stay at a CCC Cs at Spital, though I don't know its still going.
Ah yes but I deliberately wanted to wild camp this weekend.
Home now after a stay overnight near Sheringham about 4 or 5 miles from Cromer then we had the day in Cromer and carried on to Southwold and had a lovely evening there and wild camped again.

Wildcamping whats that? thought it was for tents , And whats the attraction ? Did you have all your camping gear out ,tables chairs fire pit etc ?

Its no more for tents than anything else and no seats or other paraphenalia out, it's about subtlety.

Got round to the photos and video after working yesterday. All in all we had a great old time.
