Investigating water heater not working as per previous posts. Spoke to Elddis approved technician who suggested rather than bring the moho in to first check wiring behind the control panel to check connections were....errmm connected.
Access via a boxed area in the overhead locker - all connectors seemed fine but I did note that one of the many wires had not been placed in the recess properly in the factory but instead had been pinched between the box housing and the locker panel.
Pics attached - does anyone know what the orange wire does (ie could it power the water heater control panel or is it totally irrelevant) and should I even worry about it?

It may have been pinched but it does’t look as though the wire has been damaged. Does it feel solid enough at the pinch point or is it more flexible than the rest of the wire or the adjacent wires?

Ian

Try to pull the wire apart each side of the pinch, if it stretches then it's probably broken but I doubt it is. Good luck with the fault finding.

slightly more flexible but then I'd expect that if the cover had a break. Loath to do too much for fear of breaching the warranty

Not sure of the age of the van but there is a wiring diagram here
