Nearly aint got one.
Exp
Caravan & motorhome 45 + yrs
Thought I would drive the M-home back and forth on the drive to shine up the brakes...

Decided to change position on hard standing, not been moved for a few months...

All started OK, brakes not jammed on so that`s OK, put it up ramps to level it and decided to have a look inside hab area..

Bloody great wet patch on the carpet by one of the seats which house the boiler.. :xsad:

Thought it had an auto dump switch.... obviously NOT... :xdoh:

Found a little red lever and lifted it and about 2 - 3 gallons ran out under the M-home...

So hopefully it is just a hose that has frozen and split...:pray2:

Gonna have to get some one to have a look before I flog it... I can`t get down to fix it and looks like most of the sliding seat + will have to be dismantled..:swear2:

Sorry to hear this, hopefully a local funster could help out and have a look for you.

The jokes on you this time :xrofl:

Hope it's easily fixed doesn't sound too bad but you are a silly sod expecting a van of that age to have an auto dump valve.:xlaugh:

Hope there isn’t to much damage Mo. :hugs:

Just a damp patch about the size of a large dinner plate, Dave...

But not sure what awaits under the seat... :xdoh:

Will have to wait a few weeks till we move....

I realise that NOW.............:crying::swear2:

When did they start using auto dump valves then..?

Hi Mo,
Just refill and pressurize and have a look with a torch or a mirror on a stick to see where the leak is coming from.
Then re-drain again.

Brit vans it was a lot later a lot of them not until well into the 2000's. Trumer instructions often refer to the "manual dump valve fitted to British vans".

Stop wasting ink!:swear2: Have you seen how much the cartridges cost!:xangry:

Sorry to hear about the bus Auld Yin.
