Not sure if anyone can help

I have a dab bedside radio that has a telescopic aerial and the signal keeps breaking up

Can this be replaced easily with a wired aerial an how?

Thanks in adavance

Mine too. Try changing the length of the aerial, I've found mine works better if it's not fully extended. We also use a portable DAB radio in the van - that also works better with a shorter aerial.

I don't suppose there's an aerial socket on your radio? Isn't on mine so no idea how I would connect an external aerial.

Hi Terry

Radio has no other connection so looks like keep fidling with the length.

Thanks

Open the back locate where the internal aerial is soldered to temporary attach a length of wire check on reception by cutting off the wire 1” lengths. Once you find the best reception detach the aerial and poke the wire through. And permanently attach the wire may not look the best but you should get better reception. I will look up the best length on google and put up another post. It worked for me but not on a DAB radio.

31.5 cm. checked on google
