Cut and paste Apple

is it just me or is anyone else having problems with cut and paste using iPad
I can't cut and paste a link no more on fun
For example a web page i can cut the link but when I come to paste it into a posting on fun
Paste pops up for a second then disappears
I can paste in all my other applications but not on fun

Well, OK, it is a bit clunky and a definite knack to learn but no different on MHF.

I dont know if it's a fun forum fault or IOS
It started about 4 weeks ago
But it works ok in my emails and if pasting links into documents and such

I just did the latest IOS update but no change

I blame Christmas

I think mine is working but I am on my work computer at the moment so can't check.

If it isn't working its probably some bug in one of their updates.

Just cleared the cache on the iPad and tried again. Nope...... Can copy but not paste. As Chris said, it can probably be traced back to the most recent IOS update

Seems to work ok on my ipad


Just checked ,,, I have not updated to iOS 8.1.2 So perhaps there lies the problem?

But all of the ones with no problem can you cut and paste to fun
If you can its a IOS thing
I can cut and paste everywhere else so far except fun

Broken here too...iPad 3 with iOS 8.1.1

I also cannot reliably copy text either from the forum; when it does work it's whole paragraphs and I am unable to reduce the selection area.

Don't remember this happening in iOS 7

Quite a bit about it online - seems to be the IOS 8 that might be the problem. Someone said a complete restore fixes it but don't want to do that

I have just done that full restore no difference
So @Jim with respect
Seen as it works with everything else "could" it be something with the forum software that has changed

I have cut and pasted several links today to Fun without problem from my iPad currently on IOS 7.1.2
However to copy a link I always click on the little icon at the top to the left of the address box.
And I use the icon in Fun that looks like the link of a chain to paste the link. I do sometimes have to click paste twice, but it does work.
I don't know if there is any other way of doing it but this method works for me.

I have same problem the paste balloon disappears before you can use it that's on IOS8
