Just called into my local Lidl store and noticed they had genuine CTEK CT5 battery charger and maintainer for sale at £59-99p. I don't think you will find a cheaper price for these and they come with a 5 year warranty . Naturally I had to buy one . They also have digital auto- range multimeters for £9-99p, handy to have in the motorhome.

I cannot see which one you are referring to but the Lidl one is the CT5 time to go and from the pictures on the box is recommended for cars, caravans, motorhomes and tractors. Suitable for all types of 12 volt lead acid batteries [WET, MF, Ca/Ca, AGM and GEL ]is it same as this one for £47.50

Yes ,exactly the same . That will teach me to make an impulse buy although the cheaper one you listed doesn't include postage.

I have noticed of late that LIDL and indeed ALDI have been pushing stuff that is FAR from being a bargain, canna even call it keenly priced.. But that CTEK is very well priced indeed !
My local lidl had three left, all empty boxes!?!

I have had two CTEK Chargers, both failed within 2 years. Both cost around the £60 mark.
I have a Similar type of Charger from Lidl (purchased in The Netherlands (€12).) Also an Aldi Version from Spain, €15. Both had more use and had them for close on 5 years.
The only function the Lidl/Aldi Chargers don't have is the de calcification.
This has put me off CTEK Products.
