I didn't take it that way, just a simple statement of fact that, like it or not, what would have been considered vile language not long ago is now in common usage.

How about look back and see just how things have changed, skip to 3 minutes in this clip, I wonder what she thinks of today's TV presenters.

Ah RP (Received Pronunciation) or talking with a plum in one's mouth. If you wanted to be a BBC presenter then you had to be trained in RP or you didnt get a job. Not just presenters but actors as well.
In the late 70's early 80's of course we moved over to a more natural speech pattern using dialect.
